Farmacy Honey Drop
It's rare that I come across a moisturizer that wows me from the start...but with Farmacy's newest release, Honey Drop, that all changed. Farmacy has been a brand that I have been picky with. I find some products like their Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm and Rise N Shine Daily Moisturizer to be too heavy for my skin while others find them incredibly soothing and nourishing. Goes to show you how each persons skin is so different and has very different needs.
Needless to say, when I met Mark Veeder, Co-Founder of Farmacy a few weeks ago (for an incredible mixer), I told him how skeptical I was of his newest release as well as what my issues were with his other formulations. He quickly said, "Wait till you try this lightweight cream".
He had me at "lightweight". As soon as he took his metal spatula, cleverly magnetized to the lid, scooped out just a small amount of the Honey Drop, applied it to my skin and massaged it in...my hand transformed. No tackiness, zero thickness, subtle scent and incredible moisture.
What's in it:Water, Glycereth-26, Glycerin, C13-15 Alkane, Echinacea Purpurea Root Extract, Honey Extract, Propolis Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Theobroma Grandflorum Seed Butter, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Allantoin, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract, Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Leaf Extract, Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract, Ocimum Balsilicum (Basil) Flower/Leaf Extract, Coccinia Indica Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Betaine, Capryloyl Glycerin/Sebacic Acid Copolymer, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Eclipta Prostrata Extract, Flavor, Sorbitan Olivate, Sucrose Stearate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium Edta, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Agar, Calcium Alginate, Mica, Iron Oxide (Ci 77492), Propanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Methyl Gluceth-20, Diheptyl Succinate, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Hydroxyacetophenone, Tromethamine, Cetearyl Olivate, Alcohol Denat., Caprylyl Glycol.
The Honey Drop is "The next level daily skincare must have that we were craving for long lasting moisture in a super lightweight formula" says Mark. And that it is. It's incredibly light and absorbs within minutes. It has healing, calming and nourishing ingredients like his patented Echinacea GreenEnvy, honey, mistletoe, japanese bloodgrass, Tsubaki and meadowfoam sead oil help moisturize and reduce water loss, keeping the skin incredibly hydrated.
There's also the little tiny beads of moisture...if you look close you can see them. They're Cupuacu butter beads from the Amazon rainforest. This is the ultimate super fruit, with high levels of essential fatty acids, it has the ability to infuse skin with incredible moisture.
I found this moisturizer perfect for either morning or evening. It works beautifully under makeup, SPF, and doesn't pill when applying foundation over it. It leaves skin feeling dewy and fresh and perfectly moisturized and balanced throughout the day. All you combination, oily and acne prone skin types will love it for its balancing and healing properties. Sensitive skin will also benefit from this formula as it helps to calm irritation and deeply hydrate.
So when can you get your hands on this beauty??? It officially launches in Sephora stores on July 13th and is available now online!
